Brunei Darussalam Expedition on Forest to Reef 2025 is an important step in the ongoing effort to explore, understand, and protect the natural world, as well as gather scientific data and uncover new findings from the study sites through multidisciplinary research by both local and international experts. The matter was highlighted during a Welcoming Dinner in conjunction with the expedition. Held in conjunction with the Brunei Mid-Year Conference and Exhibition, MYCE 2025, the event took place on 18th May night at a hotel in Kota Batu.

Dayang Hajah Tutiaty binti Haji Abdul Wahab, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism added, the expedition will contribute to the development of robust conservation strategies by highlighting the critical ecological linkages between land and sea. It was organised by the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism through the Department of Forestry and the Department of Fisheries, in collaboration with the Institute for Biodiversity and Environmental Research, Universiti Brunei Darussalam AND Poni Group Sendirian Berhad.
